Signs were expected to have an informative function. It was necessary to provide the public with a simple and functional way-finding system to direct traffic to a specific laboratory or department.

What was the customer/designer looking for from a design standpoint?
Since it's a crowded new building with several floors, the designer aimed at finding a simple solution with a pleasant and elegant look.

What were the cost considerations?
Considering that the customer is a public entitiy, the cost factor was crucial. Thanks to Vista System we could combine the economical and functional aspects in the most cost efficient way.

What did the customer request, what needs did they present and what problems did they need solved?
The biggest problem was to make the building entrance simple for people. Since the building is made up of many floors, there also needed to be clear access to the different laboratories and the Conference Hall. For these purposes, on each floor, a wall directory and a ceiling suspended sign were installed providing information on the floor itself and on the other floors.

What were the most important challenges you faced as a sign maker (cost, delivery time, design functionality…)?
Considering that it was the first supply, we preferred buying the material already assembled and ready to be installed. We only inserted the graphic part. Thanks to the existing holes we had no problems with the installation.

What problems did you run in to? (Manufacturing? Price? Technical? …)
At first, the customer seemed unsure as to whether or not to put signs into the building. At the end of the job he was very satisfied!

How long did it take to complete the project?
From the project development to the delivery and material installation it took about 3 months. Since the customer was in no hurry for the inauguration, he was satisfied.

Describe if and how MCFT played a part in the project.
As we had no deep knowledge of the Vista System, we trusted our M&D distributor and followed his suggestions. Considering the results obtained, I must say that it was a good idea!!! Thank you for your cooperation.
