The public area signs & displays were designed to help members realize the services offered from their Credit Union. The internal directories guided both staff members and members of the public in public areas.

What was the customer/designer looking for from a design standpoint?
Class. Style. Something a little different. Ease of use.

What were the cost considerations?
We were given a guide budget. We explained to the customer that there were cheaper options, but Vista would out perform all of them and the quality and variety is unmatched.

What were the delivery considerations?
Realistic time frame of 2 months for complete project. Including design and installation.

What did the customer request, what needs did they present and what problems did they need solved?
The needs at this credit union were there because there was nothing else before it. We designed a bespoke system that could be adapted to other financial institutions.

What were the most important challenges you faced as a sign maker (cost, delivery time, design functionality…)?
Design and working with the materials was a challenge due to the unique shape of the Vista panels. With a bit of determination, we solved all problems along the way.

What problems did you run in to? (Manufacturing? Price? Technical? …)
Cutting a curve from the V500 panels was a challenge due to the thickness of the overall extrusion. We also had to create new end caps to fit over the curved area. Obviously, the shapes and sizes change when you try to cap a curved piece. We formed a template for each curve and shaped it until it fit. We then drilled holes to match the screw ports.

How did you solve them?
With determination, a little planning and forethought. We created a template, so that it formed a guide. We simply used an aluminum blade in a jig saw to cut the curves out. It was a little tricky, but we took our time and it worked out fine!

How long did it take to complete the project?
6 weeks.

All of the internal signage and displays were made using Vista.



Vista is just a dream. It works with anything. And, with a little imagination, you can create marvelous pieces of signage for anything. Dungarvan Credit Union. Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, Southern Ireland. This chain of credit unions in Ireland is a community based financial service provider. Very similar to a bank, but much more aproachable. This local credit union underwent a substantial refurbishment. This included new signage, display and community information. Sign Select acquired the contract and was given a short brief. The rest was left in their hands to come up with colorful, eye catching displays and posters to provide members with information on the services offered. When presented with Vista, the client was very pleased to see how effective this would be for the job in question. Sign Select took the entire signage project which included designing a series of seasonal promotional posters which would also be displayed in Vista Panels. To add a little design quirk, we took Vista and cut it into a curvaceous design shape to give a real touch of class.
