This project included all room identification signs, directional signs and directories produced with the Vista sign system. Avalis markets, sells and installs the Vista system under the product name “Contour Series”. Other projects may be viewed under this name on our website.

What was the customer/designer looking for from a design standpoint?
The designer was looking for a sign company with a good reputation and a changeable sign system that complimented an upscale interior design. The convex Vista system was a good fit.

What were the cost considerations?
The sign system had to be both initially affordable and cost effective to maintain in the future.

What were the delivery considerations?
The contract had a penalty clause of $500.00 per day for late delivery.

What did the customer request, what needs did they present and what problems did they need solved?
Quoting the designer: “We wanted a clean, updatable system that had a classical look, not too trendy.”

What were the most important challenges you faced as a sign maker (cost, delivery time, design functionality…)?
As a government job, the project went out to bid to several sign companies. We had to be cost competitive, have good references, and blend our manufacturing capabilities with the Vista platform.

What problems did you run in to? (Manufacturing? Price? Technical? …)
Delays occurred during the design review process – getting design sign-off by various customer groups.

How did you solve them?
Vista’s prompt delivery of product from Israel helped us make up the time and we met the deadline without incident.

How long did it take to complete the project?
The project was completed in four weeks.

Describe if and how MCFT played a part in the project.
The convex face gave the system a custom look and the platform supported the need for certain design elements and changeability.

ABC SignWorks can customize the Vista sign system so the designs uniquely compliment the interior finishes and corporate identity of professional facilities.
