The customer and decorator wanted- gloss black background with brushed chrome vinyl lettering, which matched the Vista frame.
The customer is very happy with the way the project turned out. The building is very low lighted so I had to use a flash to take these pictures which has caused a reflection from the gloss black background. The black background is a gloss black Romark material.
What was the customer/designer looking for from a design standpoint?
Their was a consensus to update the building with a more contemporary look.
What were the cost considerations?
Cost although a factor was not major.
What were the delivery considerations?
We had one month to complete the project.
What were the most important challenges you faced as a sign maker (cost, delivery time, design functionality…)?
Getting all the tenants to sign off on their proof and make sure the spelling was correct. We had only one middle initial wrong which the customer OK'd
What problems did you run in to? (Manufacturing? Price? Technical? …)
Some of the larger plaques (10"x12") fell down. We used heavy duty VHB tape, however the paint came off the wall.
How did you solve them?
We added more tape and if they keep dropping we will have to secure them all with screws.
How long did it take to complete the project?
One Month.
Describe if and how MCFT played a part in the project.
MCFT was critical and the team was very responsive to our needs. Rochelle helped a lot and made the project a breeze for us. She helped lay out the directory sign several times as the customer changed their mind. I do not think I could have not completed the project in time without her help. When she was not available, other customer service people helped enormously.
I am planning to set up a full display in my showroom to aid in presenting the product to contractors, architects, and building management companies.
